Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 9, 2026
Truly Dear ("we", "us") is operated by Elanvale Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17322464), 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Photos and portrait previews. You can upload a photo to create a portrait preview. We store generated portraits privately, together with the style, page mode, creation time and whether the result was shown or ordered. We use them to provide your preview, review preview quality and deliver your digital file or ordered print.
- Contact details. Your email address if you share it with us, and your name, shipping address, and phone number when you place an order.
- Order and payment details. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. For digital orders, we record when we first send a requested download and the number of downloads to provide access and handle refunds.
- Basic usage data. Standard analytics about how the site is used (pages visited, approximate region, device type).
How we use it
- To create your preview, fulfil your order, and deliver it to you.
- To return you to your saved portrait and send one reminder if you ask us to save it by email.
- To send you service emails about your order and, only if you opt in, occasional product emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To send you text messages from Truly Dear about your order status and delivery, but only if you choose them at checkout. Text updates are optional and never a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies with your order, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. We do not send marketing texts, we do not share your number with anyone except the messaging provider that delivers them, and we never sell it.
- To improve the site and prevent abuse.
Who we share it with
Only service providers needed to run Truly Dear: image processing providers (to generate your preview), our print and shipping partners (to produce and deliver your order), Stripe (payments), our email service provider, and analytics providers. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Generated previews are kept privately so you can return to saved results and we can review quality or honour a reprint guarantee. Saved preview links expire after 30 days. Link expiry does not delete the underlying portrait. You can ask us to delete your photos and data at any time by emailing hello@trulydear.com.
A purchased digital file has a separate private copy for your 30-day download period. That copy is removed by our daily cleanup after the link expires. We retain the order and download records for customer service and refunds.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: hello@trulydear.com. If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the rights set out in the UK/EU GDPR, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have the rights set out in the CCPA.
Changes
We update this policy whenever our practices change. The effective date above reflects the current version.
